There’s more news in lovely San Diego than that of the Chargers. Ah, just a few inches to the right and the season is over. For you non-football types, the football team lost their Super Bowl dreams in the last seconds of the game to a missed field goal. Don’t you HATE that when it happens? You non-football types, you probably don’t care, do you? OK then. Like I was saying, there’s good news from San Diego, and it involves a promotion. At the McGraw Hill ABC affiliate, KGTV, there’s a new News Marketing Manager. It’s BILL ROLAND, who has been a Sr. Videographer and Editor for about 5 years. Before joining CSD DON WELLS, Bill was Director of TV Production for the San Diego Sports Arena. And before that, he was in LALA working with Carsey-Werner. Yep, I definitely think that’s waaaay cool. Bill and his lovely wife are into new media, too. Website development, actually, which is where the whole TV thing is headed, right? Bill’s official new duties begin February 1. Way to go, Bill. Thanks to CSD DON WELLS for the info.
MyNetworkTV created a position, and fantastic MARY BETH MCADARAGH was the perfect choice for it. She’s the new SVP of Affiliate Relations – all 175 affiliates to be precise. Way to go MB! She reports to EVP PAUL FRANKLIN out in LaLa Land. Mary Beth had been over at NBC where she was VP of Marketing. Mucho congrats!!
And last but not least, MICHAEL LEATHERS has been named creative director in the television division of Trailer Park. Leathers was most recently president and creative director of Launch Pad.
