“With every ending, something new begins.” ~ Maxine Cates

So why are we beginning with the Think About This quote? Because this one particularly sums up Well Dunne’s reason d’etre. When one job ends, another begins. Just like when one relationship goes pfft, another comes along. Something new might be in a different form, and it usually is, but there really isn’t any reason to rue change. As Creatives, you are most able to see a better horizon. Aren’t you the lucky ones. So embrace your changes, celebrate them even if you don’t like the exact form they take, then share them with me. I’ll pass them along. Now, let me hop down off my soapbox, although it was nice to be taller if but for an iota of time.

Love that Tampa St. Pete market with those white sand beaches and swaying palms. Word from CSD DONNA WILSON of Scripps’ ABC affil up on Hines Blvd. She’s nabbed CHRIS CRABTREE after his 9 year run across the bay. He was at Gannett’s CBS outlet over in St. Pete. Now. Chris is hard at work for Ms. Donna. If his name rings a bell, it might be from his past work at Raleigh’s WRAL, WECT and WNCT. Seeing he has a North Carolina background, he’s a major supporter of the Tarheel hoopsters. Translated, that means he loves basketball and loves the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill team. That’s one hot team! The folks of North Carolina go ape crazy about basketball playoffs, which is take is the basis of the term March Madness. Mr. Crabtree must be mad as a hatter after spending last weekend at the ACC tourney, held in his very adopted hometown. Did I mention he bought a place in the historic Ybor City portion of town? Ybor is the old cigar making area. Full of great old places, streets to wander, coffee houses and the like. Yep, Chris is definitely connected to the Tampa scene. Well Dunne!

Bravo to Bravo’s JASON KLARMAN. He’s been promoted to Executive Vice President of marketing and digital. He had been Sr. VP of marketing and brand strategy. Not too shabby for a guy who started over at CNBC doing PR.

BROOK HEFNER’s background sounds interesting. She’s the new Public Relations Manager for Cookie Jar Entertainment out in LA. She’s been at FOX as well as part of Bill Clinton’s media team. No details on that … yet. Will definitely ask about it. President Clinton, btw, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s NYC PROMAX convention.

Take a note before you go. Tomorrow is Coffee Break Day. So named by the fine folks at Starbucks. To mark the occasion, free coffee is being dispensed tomorrow from 10 am until Noon. That will go a long way to dispel the Ides Of March moniker the date has formerly been saddled with.

See ya tomorrow!
