Just one day away from St. Pat’s. AND one posting away from my 100th column! I do believe that calls for a celebration! And with not just one but TWO good reasons. Perhaps even a wild weekend will ensue.
A great big Well Dunne! goes out to WRAL’s SHELLY LESLIE. She’s now officially the Creative Director of the legendary CBS affil in North Carolina’s capital. With the new title comes the following duties: managing Marketing and Graphics for WRAL, WRAL WeatherCenter Channel, WRAL Newschannel, promoting News on FOX50 sister station, brand extension on WRAL.com and WRAL Wireless, plus handling promotions and graphics for WILM, their sister station in Wilmington. Whew! You go girl!
Starting on Monday, NIKKI WOLFE begins a new job and a new way to express her writing and producing talents. She’s the new creative producer (and writer, etc) for Charlotte CBS affil WBTV. CSD SHELLY HILL enticed her to leave behind her Newsroom producing gig, which she held for 3 years. Welcome to the world of promotion and marketing, Ms. Wolfe.
Three Big Hurrahs for blonde SHARAN MAGNUSON, who’s gotten herself a promotion over at Warners. She’ll now be the point person for combining Warner’s five productions divisions and the three distribution divisions, publicity and marketing-wise. That’s a big step! She’s now part of the studio’s worldwide television marketing division and calls LISA GREGORIAN boss.
Speaking of publicity, JULIE ROTHMAN was promoted to VP of Publicity, East Coast Entertainment over at the peacock web. Cool. Just over a year ago, Julie was promoted from doing PR at CNBC to the same Entertainment division that is now giving her yet another bump. She must be smokin’ good, with all that forward projection in her career!
Sundance Channel has been evolving. Part of the change sees KIM GABELMANN now heading up the channel’s branded entertainment and sponsorship division. Good job.
Now go have a great weekend and come back next week. And, of course, don’t forget to share the changes in your career and life with me! firstname.lastname@example.org will do it!
