Go West, as they old expression says. And that’s what BRANDT DOTSON has done. All the way from one coast to the other, give or take a hundred miles. Brant is the new writer producer for the Hearst NBC affil in Sacramento, KCRA. Brandt is trading the state capital of North Carolina for that of the Golden State. I hear ya. He’s going to be calling GENE ROBINSON boss, and Gene couldn’t be happier to get him on board. Brandt is a western kind of guy, having been raised on the dry side of the Mississippi River, namely Phoenix. Best of luck with the new gig and if you see Arnold, give him my best!
As chance would have it, we have a capital theme going on here. In Georgia’s state capital, Cox ABC affil WSB creative head STEVE RILEY has hired RACHEL PENDLEY to do Topicals. Rachel comes from the Clear Channel combo down in Jacksonville, FL, WAWS and WTEV, FOX and CBS. She began last week and Steve says she’s terrific. Glad to hear it. Well Dunne Rachel. That’s a great market and you’ll love the legendary WSB. Make them take you to lunch at Mary Mac’s Tearoom over on Ponce de Leon, where you’ll see all the darling Atlanta ladies nibbling at the best southern food you can imagine. It will make you feel like you’ve lived in Atlanta for ages and ages. White gloves no longer required.
Got some news from Knoxville and HGTV for tomorrow.
Think about this: “Within you is a tool box—a box of possibility and hope. There you will find principles that will transform your life. What do you have in your toolbox? And what practices can you use to put these principles into action?” ~ Greg Barrette
