Friday the 13th. Did you know that 17-21 million people here in the US are so afraid of this day, they actually are in phobia land with it? No flying, no big purchases. Loss to the economy is a whopping $800- $900 mil. How did this all begin? Norse folklore has a 13th person show up at a dinner party for some Norse gods, and things got bad because of the unlucky 13. Judas was the 13th at the Last Supper. And the English say that witches gather in groups of 12, with the 13th being the devil himself. So now you know.

Heading to network is DWAYNE TERRELL, who has been a Broadcast Designer at Albritton’s ABC affil in Washington DC, WJLA. Yes, he’ll be working for NBC News, getting on board just in time to start doing graphics for the ’08 election. Cool. He’s from Herndon, Virginia, so that means he’s a hometown talent. Well Dunne! He’ll be greatly missed at WJLA for sure.

It’s a NY based gig and Mr. Holzman will report to CHRIS MCCUMBER, SVP/Marketing and Brand Strategy. The Harvard grad comes from an agency background including BBDO. Cool!

Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising is now the office home of HOWARD NELSON who is VP/Worldwide Promotion. Howard will be the go-to-guy for be development and execution of news and current marketing and promotional initiatives for the company’s properties. Well Dunne!

Think about this: “All this is simply to say that all life is interrelated. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality; tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. As long as there is poverty in this world, no man can be totally rich even if he has a billion dollars. As long as diseases are rampant and millions of people cannot expect to live more than twenty or thirty years, no man can be totally healthy, even if he just got a clean bill of health from the finest clinic in America. Strangely enough, I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. You can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be. This is the way the world is made.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
