MIKE HOUSE, the VP of Creatives at FOX’s Tampa Bay station WTVT is welcoming a fellow Floridian into the fold in a few weeks. TY CODY (whose name qualifies for a Cool Name for sure) is driving down I-4 from her job at Orlando’s WOFL. Ms. Ty has been at Miami’s WSVN in the News department, and I’m told she’s got aces writing skills and is quite the editor. Well Dunne!

Nashville’s NBC affil, WSMV, has welcomed a writer producer to the fold. It’s Somerset, KY native KRISTIN HARGIS, who’s made the switch from Louisville’s NBC affil, WAVE to the Music City Meredith operation. According to CSD TIM HALL, she’s GREAT. And that’s GREAT news to hear. FYI…did anybody know that the Nashville-based Grand Ole Opry is the longest running radio show on the airwaves?

BOB PEDERSON got a promotion at Comedy Central. No joke, he really did. He is now Sr. VP/Creative Director, on-air brand creative for the funny cable channel. He’s been given some new responsibilities. Before he landed at Comedy, he was doing creative direction at Lifetime as well as Disney/ABC Cable nets. Well Dunne Bob.

Quite the honor – Gannett’s W*USA in DC was named as the recipient of the 2007 American Scene “Belva Davis” Award from AFTRA. It exemplifies the overall diversity of the on-air talent at the station. Very Well Dunne everybody. The award gets given out July 20 in Philly, when W*USA joins such prior winners as Sesame Street, American Idol, NBC’s Passions and Chicago’s WLS-TV, among other winners.
