Have never in the history of the column/site – 2.5 years I believe, if you want specifics, have I had info from Montana. So today is special because of it. THOMAS CIPRARI, who is Director of Operations and Creative Services at Max Media of Montana, has a new hire to tell us about. REUBEN VOLD is a Creative Services Producer who’s handling client commercials, and tagging promos. He’s a University of Montana broadcast journalism grad who has previously worked with Barrett Productions in Missoula. Reuben works mainly for KTMF, the ABC affil in Big Sky country. Did you know that Montana has sapphires, and one of them is in the Crown Jewels of England? Is that COOL or what? Well Dunne! Reuben. I hear that you’re a skilled shooter and are full of creative ideas. But wait…there’s more! Reuben is getting married THIS Saturday, July 21 in Missoula. The beautiful bride is Alysha. All our best to you both.

If you aren’t familiar with Hawaiian music, more is the pity. It’s so beautiful, your mood and blood pressure level to perfect and a calmness takes over. Heavenly. Got to talk to a Hawaiian music fan who was born in the islands but grew up in Chicago. ERIC GABRIEL is the Promo Manager at Sinclair’s ABC affil, WXLV in the High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem North Carolina market, and he knows how lovely the island music is. A breath of fresh air to talk about it. And he told me about a new hire he’s made. BYRON PFORDTE (and that is spelled correctly thank you very much) is now shooting, editing, doing web work and generally taking to the promotions waters like a fish. He’s a beach kind of guy who’s from the Carolina coast and has been at the station for a few years in the commercial production area. Now, he’s using those talents in the promo world. Well Dunne! And Eric, I’m sending you the latest from Keale, Moe’s nephew’s new release. Aloha and Mahalo.
