Crossing the country to cross the street. L. SCOTT WELLS, who left the CBS affiliate in Portland, Oregon three years ago to take the Marketing Director gig in Greenville, North Carolina, just moved back to the Rose City to loan his creative talents to the Belo-owned NBC affiliate, KGW-TV. That’s Scott in the pix above. After overseeing the marketing efforts for the CBS & CW duopoly, it just came down to getting his kids (all four of them) closer to cousins and grandparents. The first cross-country trip happened by plane. This time they decided to treat the kids to a little sightseeing, and drove the 3,000 miles. The only thing he’d do different is avoid Nashville during rush hour. Scott is now KGW’s newest Senior Producer in the Creative Services Department, and calls CSD BRENDA BURATTI boss. Brenda decided that TV was in her blood and didn’t depart the biz, which was her plan at one time. Well Dunne!

Two promotions at BBC Worldwide Americas, which is located in the lovely Burbank smack dab in the middle of the Media Center. AMY MULCAIR is now VP/Publicity and CHRISTINE BLACK is VP/Communications. Their areas will be BBC in US, Latin America and Canada, eh. Well Dunne!

Think about this: “Write while the heat is in you. The writer who postpones the recording of his thoughts uses an iron which has cooled to burn a hole with. He cannot inflame the minds of his audience.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
