Sinclair’s San Antonio FOX affil KABB has filled the open Promotion Manager slot, and they picked a Texas girl! You betcha. It’s always hard to follow a loss, and when VANGIE MASCORRO passed away, the creative and friendly shoes she left to fill seemed to call out to the lovely and talented AZALEA HOELTING. She traveled down I-35 from her hometown of Ft. Worth and answered the call from her old company, Sinclair. She worked at their station KOKH in Oklahoma City before she took the writer producer job at CBS’ KTVT in DFW. She’s departing the Metroplex for the Alamo City, taking along her hubby and two little girls. Bueno! Her two little girls are ready to start school in their new town, which is one of the best in the country. She’s only been there for two weeks, but has already been taken in by the charm of the place. Yes, she has directions to go eat at the best Mexican food place ever…and no, sharing the name is not gonna happen at this time. Way to Go Azalea…Well Dunne!

Yahoo! Is now calling RUTH SARFATY vice president, corporate communications for the advertising and publishing group at the online company. She came over from a similar title at AOL.

Check out the Emmy noms for best commercial. Note that of the 7, three were from my old and beloved BBDO. Click here.

“Love, as a word, is memorialized in countless books, movies, poems, and musical compositions. While there are many definitions of love, its essence, when used as a verb, can be captured in a few phrases: to care for, to cherish, to respect, to honor, to show an interest in, to value, or to treat with kindness.” ~ Francine Ward
