I told you GARY WANN was departing CBS’s KTVT in DFW and is headed to KPRC in Houston. That’s him there in the pix. When he sits down in the CSD chair at the NBC affil in Houston, one of his first orders of business will be to find himself a great #2 to help him run the department. So if you’re interested, get hold of him. I can vouch for Gary being a great guy to work with, and as a bonus, DOUGLAS KARABASZ, your Art Director is great as well.
Another person taking leave of the 100+ degree-days in the Dallas Fort Worth market is TADD VAN CLEVE. He’s departing his creative slot at CBS’ KTVT and heading to his first Creative Services Director job up in Detroit at the CBS duopoly WWJ and WKBD. That last call is for the CW portion of the operation. The Eugene, Oregon native is no stranger to the upper Midwest – he went to school in Chicago and broke into the biz there. He begins in early September. Well Dunne! Tadd.
Congrats to DAVE LAWRENCE, who’s taking the head chair as Creative Services Director at the Hearst Indie, WMOR, in the Tampa St. Pete market. He’s heading down I-4 from Orlando, where he was working at WKMG, aka Local 6. A Syracuse, New Yorker by birth and childhood, Dave spent 7 years in Atlanta doing that great creative work for WTBS and the Turner folks before heading to the land of Disney and theme parks. Great to have met him and he’s got a wonderful set of pipes to boot! Well Dunne! Dave.
Did you watch HGTV primetime in August? Well, tons of people sure did. Highest ratings in great demos. Clapping for you fine folks in Knoxville!
CSD RON KELLER is not at KREM anymore. I’m looking for him, so if you are Ron, contact me and let me know what’s up. The Belo CBS affil in Spokane is also in need of a writer producer. Great part of the country, Spokane. If you’re interested…you know the drill.
A belated Well Dunne! going out to Belo’s New Orleans CBS affil WWL’s writer producer KIRK JACOBS, who took the gig in NOLA after being at NBC affil KBRV in Beaumont, TX, another Gulf Coast TV market.
Flying anywhere on Virgin Atlantic? Then you’ll get to see The Sundance Channel. Enjoy.
