Orlando’s WRDQ, the Cox-owned indie known to Central Florida as TV27 Action 27, has a new Promotion Manager. Let’s have a round of applause and some serious whooping for Ms. ERIN NORMAN. Louder. Good! Erin has been with the station since 2003, writing and producing. Then last year, she was upped to Senior Producer for WFTV. Oh, yeah, WRDQ is the sister station of the #1 ABC affil down in O-town. Erin will continue to help CHRIS ROMERO until after the November book is over, and then she’ll step into her new role. Well Dunne! Erin. So glad to hear that good, hard work pays off. And thanks to BOB ST. CHARLES, the CSD. He’s on the hunt for some hot creative writing and producing to add to his department. So, if you’re looking to go south, here’s your opportunity.

Now, let’s go to the total opposite side of the country…Seattle, Washington. Fresh from getting her degree in Communications from Seattle U, JESSICA GAYLORD has landed a job with the fine folks at Tribune’s FOX affil, WCPQ. It’s Q13 for those in the know. As for Jessica’s new slot – not too shabby. She’s officially the Associate Writer Producer for Creative Services, and she has a fab boss…JIM CROWNOVER. A native of the city which sports both Microsoft and Starbucks, can it be said Jessica is a Seattleite? Nobody was able to pinpoint exactly what a resident of Seattle is called. Anybody? Buehler? Buehler? Well Dunne! Jessica. Expect to hear great things from you.

Hey, did you notice both stations today have “Q” in their calls? Coincidence or conspiracy? You decide.

Think about this: “I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.” ~ E. B. White
