If you’re a PBS viewer, you’re familiar with American Public Television (APT), the 42-year-old company out of Boston that distributes music, how-to and other top-drawer programs to over 355 public TV stations coast to coast. They hired a Director of Communications to head up the promotion and publicity work, and it’s JAMIE HAINES. Jamie has done PR work with Boston’s powerhouse PBS affil WGBH. Well Dunne!

Rainbow Media’s AMC has a promotion to announce. THEANO APOSTOLOU can now pass out business cards that read VP/Publicity, Talent Relations and Promotional Events. Cool. In her new role, Theano will head the network’s consumer communications for original series, movie franchises and industry events. Her boss is ELLEN KRONER, SVP/Communications at Rainbow Media. Well Dunne!

January 27 is the day The Discovery Times Channel gets rebranded as Investigation Discovery. Read all about the changes thanks to the Washington Post.

Ion TV has a new show that’s all spots all 60 minutes, through the Firebrand folks. Learn all about it (although I’d appreciate knowing why this is getting so much press, since it isn’t a first…ya know? GRAEME NEWELL has the best spots on his 602 site, fyi) by clicking here.
