Twas just days before Christmas and at 30 Rock, great news came from creative and boy does it rock. Please – no applause or groaning for the intro. The news is good from behind the Christmas Tree on 5th. The NBC Agency East Coast has made some changes, expanding the agency by bringing in the MSNBC creative folks. DAVID LIPSIUS, who was Dir of Ops at MSNBC Creative is now in charge of the in-house production units and now is the VP of Operations. VAL NICHOLAS gets a promotion, taking on the duties of VP of Business Development after being MSNBC CS VP. But wait there’s more. Promotions include CHRIS MEADOR, to Senior Director, Brand Strategy; ADAM KESSLER , to Director, On-Air Promotion, East Coast; and JON ACCARINNO to Manager of Digital Marketing. BILL PLATT will join as Senior Writer/Producer, and SKIP STUART has been upped to Executive Producer/Senior Director of Special Projects. One of my faves, FRANK RADICE, will wrangle all this talent as EVP and they all report to the elegant JOHN MILLER. Oh…wait…surely there are women doing creative here, huh? Just askin.
Think about this: “Once again we find ourselves enmeshed in the Holiday Season, that very special time of year when we join with our loved ones in sharing centuries-old traditions such as trying to find a parking space at the mall. We traditionally do this in my family by driving around the parking lot until we see a shopper emerge from the mall, then we follow her, in very much the same spirit as the Three Wise Men, who 2,000 years ago followed a star, week after week, until it led them to a parking space.” ~ Dave Barry
