El Paso, TX is a border town and the focus of a famous song by the one and only Marty Robbins. It’s a great song – you should go out of your way to listen to it. Or better yet, learn the words. At the CBS affil there, KDBC, CSD KYLE PIERSON has found a new writer producer. ROBERT IZQUIERDO had been punching newscasts and was itching to do something different. After putting together a spec spot for Kyle, he was hired to do creative work right on the spot. Robert hails from Puerto Rico originally and has been with KDBC for “a while”. Well Dunne! Robert. Keep in touch. And sign up for IdeaNet!

Got a nice email from BLAIR PAYNE, who reports that life after TV promotion is great. That’s a pix of him, one of his sons (beard on the left) and a guitar friend, all in Blair’s audio studio in Nashville. You know, TV types would do themselves a favor having Blair do work for them, audio-wise. I mean, Blairski is T-A-L-E-N-T-E-D!

What’s up with you? Share with moi. The address above will work just fine, email wise.
