Good gracious sakes alive. Lots to tell you about in the promo world of CBS. It’s like so much news, I have to divide it into people. So this will be a total CBS posting. All kinds of promotions, so let’s get started.
Former KCBS CSD (and he was in Michigan and Texas along the way) GAREN VAN DE BEEK is now Sr. VP of On-Air Promotions. He’s been working his way up the title ladder since he made the jump to network in 2000.
He’s been around about 20 years, so PAUL FRIEDMAN is not only smart, he’s well deserving of his new VP, On-Air Promotion title. He’s handled comedy promotion (which is harder than it sounds) and special projects and had his hand in the headline news service for CBS Evening News. As if that isn’t enough, he initiated CBS’s daytime programming on-air promotional campaigns.
CHRIS CRANNER is now a member of the VP club with the title VP On Air Promotions. Originally a freelance writer, he added producer to that and was also Creative Director Special Projects.
LORI SHEFA has been Director of On Air Promotions for the last three years, and before that she was UPN Network VP Advertising and Promotion.
And last but not least, our fourth new VP is BRAD ROE. He’ll be turning in his title of Director, Drama Promotion which he’s had since 2001.
But wait…there’s more. SARAH LABRACHE Promoted to Director, On-Air Promotion. She’s a double threat lady – a writer producer as well as Creative Director of CBS Eyelab.
If you’re a CSI fan (I admit to being one) then you have ANNE DE VEGA to thank for their promos. She’s been promoted to Executive Producer, On-Air Promotion for her efforts. Whew…a lot of great news from one locale. Well, Well, Well, Well, Well, Well Dunne! everybody.
