Onward! Today marks the last day that TODD BALLANTYNE helms the Creatives at CBS’s KYW in Philadelphia. Todd has been busy in the last year, getting the station moved into a new building, getting their numbers way up and dealing with a PR mess (no names, but an anchor lady who kept getting headlines for the wrong reasons). He’s been magnificent. But like all of us, he wants to conquer new areas, and when he shuts the door today, he’ll be inventing a new world for himself – one that allows him to focus on his green business as well as teach. He promises to keep in touch, and we’ll hold him to that.
So whom is Todd handing the reigns over to? DOMINICK NARDO, who’s coming east from Kansas City where he’s Creative Services Director for KSHB and KMCI, the respective NBC and Independent duopoly. The Ohio University grad has a track record at stations including KTSP in Minneapolis, KHOU in Houston, KIRO in Seattle as well as KMTV in Omaha. Congrats Dominick. Sounds like GM MICHAEL COLLERAN is having a sad/happy day. Well Dunne! to one and all!
