The average temp in June in Phoenix runs in the 100’s, but it is a dry heat. June 2 is gonna be a hot day – it’s when MATT HYATT begins his new hot job as Creative Services Director at Meredith’s KPHO, the CBS affil in the Valley of the Sun. He’s coming down from Portland, where he’s been heading up the Meredith’s FOX/MyNetworkTV operation, KPTX/KPTV. A St. Louis guy who was a Ladue High Ram (St. Louis people ALWAYS ask about high schools – he began his career at his hometown’s now-CW affil, KPLR after graduating from KU. Yes, he’s thrilled they won that basketball title. He was producing commercials, then switched to promos when he took a job down in Houston at KTXH. After a stint at KEYE in Austin, he found himself in Portland. He’ll be relocating with his wife, who has the coolest job. She’s the cheese chick – check out her cool website – cheese-chick.com. Isn’t it wonderful how online businesses are portable? Well Dunne! Matt! Tear ‘em up in Phoenix.

Think About This: “When was the last time you embraced a situation that you didn’t like? Did you complain through the entire experience or did you run away from the situation altogether? If you did either, you missed a wonderful opportunity to be something that you’ve never been before. It just might have been that one thing that you had been wishing for.” ~ Les Brown
