Tulsa, Oklahoma, where a businessman named Cyrus Avery first imagined America’s iconic Route 66, has news. After a long and thorough search, Scripps-owned KJRH found their new Creative Services Director within their own walls. Getting the promotion is SAMANTHA KNOWLTON, (that’s she on the left) who’s been the station PR Manager for the last 8 years. A native of Vancouver, BC, she originally worked in the world of digital mapping after getting her degree in English from Colorado State U. She loves Tulsa, and agrees with me that it’s like a mini-Dallas. Great to hear of your new job, Samantha. Keep in touch and Well Dunne!
The lovely and talented MONA LANDRY (I need to ask her if she’s related to the great Dallas Coach Tom Landry) is settling into her new Hollywood gig as Vice President of Business Development for Samuels Advertising, the design gurus who handle entertainment media campaigns and packaging. She’s done tons of great work in marketing, media and PR, most recently for E! Entertainment where she led program launches. Well Dunne! Mona.
Yes, I’m going to live blog from PROMAX/BDA and post TONS and TONS of action pix. So, get ready.
Think About This: I want you to REALLY think about this one and, if for no reason other than your own, contact someone you know today who would fall into this category: “Sometimes our light goes out, but is blown again into instant flame by an encounter with another human being. Each of us owes the deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this inner light.” ~ Albert Schweitzer
