Reporting the loss of some of the folks we once worked with reflects the age of the TV business. One such loss happened this last weekend down in San Antonio when former KENS TV Sports Director and SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS NEWS columnist DAN COOK passed away. Dan was a hoot! He admitted he had a face for radio and a voice for the local corner tavern. He knew his stuff, was always a pro, a gentleman and class act. The world is less fun because of Dan’s passing.
Ironically, the other story is a San Antonio based one as well. Lots of you are ‘radio people’ who either worked in radio at one time, or just love the medium. With that in mind, here’s the Wall Street Journal’s story on the PR battle over Clear Channel Communications, which has not one but two books coming out about it.
Think About This: “Practice following your intuition in everyday things, trusting your gut feelings moment by moment and acting on them as best you can. As you learn to trust yourself in smaller matters, you will build power and confidence to take bigger risks and deal with the larger issues in your life successfully.” ~ Shakti Gawain
