BBC America is one of my favorite destinations for news. And they just named HAMILTON FISHER Manager of News Promotions. He’ll be on the east coast, in NYC, and report to SVP of Marketing at BBC, ANDREW JACKSON. Hamilton is a Boston U grad and this new title is, as they said in their press release, an upgrade. Well Dunne! Hamilton.

Up in Buffalo, NBC affil WGRZ has lost their CSD SUE DOBMEIER. When the new reality of broadcasting came to the Niagara Falls adjacent station, her position was no more, and now she’s doing freelance writing and producing in Buffalo. Meanwhile, back at the station, JIM CASKIE is wrangling the creative duties. He’s been Sr. Writer Producer at the Gannett station and sounds like a very talented guy. Keep us posted on what’s happening.

It’s a promotion at TV Land for RACHEL LIZERBRAM SANDLER, who is now head of TV Land Communications. The NY based job also gets to do the ultimate fun job in TV – be in on the development og new original programs. Sounds too good. She’ll call LARRY JONES boss and he’s the head honcho of TV Land. Well Dunne! Rachel.

Think About This: "Summing up, it is clear the future holds great opportunities. It also holds pitfalls. The trick will be to avoid the pitfalls, seize the opportunities, and get back home by six o’clock." ~ Woody Allen
