No need to go over what a trying week we all just spent. Lots of changes. Lots of lives being pushed in different directions. It’s easy to feel like there’s little light at the end of the tunnel. That’s why it was such a treat to hear from ANDI PARKER. Andi was laid off last March from her job as Promotion Producer for KTVT in Dallas Fort Worth. It was all part of the downsizing CBS has and is going through. She’d been at KTVT for 5 years, and the folks she worked with were the best. “I felt from the beginning that this layoff was going to offer me a chance to go in a new direction, and would end up being for the better, but I had no idea I’d land in Christian television,” is what she wrote. Andi has accepted a Promo Producer position for Daystar, located in Bedford, TX. Daystar is the 2nd largest Christian TV network, and can be seen worldwide. “Wow, talk about a whole new audience! The goal of this station is to bring God’s Word into lives around the world. So you really can say I’ve traded news promotion for promoting Jesus. For me, it’s been a most uplifting change.” Andi jokes with her old co-workers that her new station has 3 things that every TV station should offer: 1) a prayer department 2) a Starbucks in the building and 3) the vending machines take credit cards. Well Dunne! Andi. We send you all our best and want to make sure you stay in touch.

Interesting article from ADWEEK about A-list actors being online for NBC. And, btw, CAMERON DEATH has to be the most, well, unique name…

Think About This: “Do you deserve success? Do you know what the word “deserve” really means? It comes from the Latin roots “de” and “servir,” so it actually means “being of service.” Now do you feel that you deserve success? Service is the key to a successful life.” ~ Greg Barrette
