Lots of switching is going on in Little Rock, and I’m not talking network affiliations or channel selections. Nexstar’s KARK and Albritton’s KATV both have new CSD’s, but nobody is new to the market. Former TV news camerman (or shooter if you wish to use the newsroom term) and editor PHIL WROBEL is now sitting in the Creative Services Director chair at Nexstar’s NBC affil KARK in the Arkansas capital. A Detroit guy who earned a degree from Michigan State and began his career in Lansing, Phil took a chance and moved south, following his heart and soon-to-be wife. Love triumphed and Phil took a job at the FOX affil – shooting news. Soon, a promo slot opened and he made the transition. Found out he had that certain knack for marketing. Now, he’s heading up the creative services. And, of course, his fiancé is thrilled. Congrats, Phil. He’s been on the job just a little more than three weeks and sounds happy and busy. Well Dunne!
Over at KATV, former KARK CSD ROB THOMAS is onboard and leading the creative efforts. That’s him and his son pictured. For more on Rob, check out the BROADCASTING & CABLE Fates & Fortunes blog by clicking here.

Think About This: “The life you know is a thin layer of events covering a deeper reality. In the deeper reality, you are part of every event that is happening now, has ever happened, or ever will happen.” ~ Deepak Chopra
