First Tuesday of 2009

It wasn’t a long trip, but it was the one KEN AMBROSIUS made to kick off 2009. Ken is now doing creative work, writing and producing, for Journal Broadcast Group’s NBC affil in Green Bay, WI – WGBA. He had been ‘across the street’ at the Young-owned ABC affil, WBAY. Ken’s creative picture rocks. The nicest thing about the hometowner’s job switch is that he doesn’t have to disrupt his kindergarten daughter’s very first year of school. Well Dunne! Ken.

DIANE CHRISTMAN has been promoted at The Cable Center, the Denver, CO organization offering programs, education, information and expertise on all facets of cable. Her new title is SVP/Marketing and Development. Another Well Dunne!

This should be a slam-dunk for you talented TV types who’d like to make the leap to trailers. The Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, set for April 22-May 3 in NYC, is calling for entries in a contest to make the official trailer for the festival, using pre-selected scenes from Cool Runnings or Remember the Titans (Go Disney). All the details are yours by clicking here. And to help you make a winner, I bet we can get a Well Dunne! Talent to voice it. Such movie trailer voices I got! Oy!

Anybody got a Kindle? You know, a Kindle – those electronic reading devices you can get from Amazon? They were a must-have hot gift during the holidays. And they’re also the latest way to read Well Dunne! Happy to announce the column is now available anywhere you go – even non-wired locales – via the device and my Newstex Distributor. Let’s hear it for new technology!
