It’s a very exciting time for MARTY SCHLESINGER. After a fun summer of BMX bike instruction at a California camp (which is a male way of saying “I had such a good time it was like a spa”) he found himself whisked off to the offices at The Reelz Channel and he’s been there ever since. His new title is Director of On-Air Promotions for the folks who are TV About Movies. Of course, this means moving from Hawaii, where he helmed Hearst’s KITV for four years. He’ll be trading one kind of sand (Oceanside) for another (New Mexico variety) but seems very thrilled to be part of Reelz. Well Dunne! Marty. And btw, Mr. S celebrates his birthday on Friday and he has new wheels and a new supercool place to call home in one of the coolest parts of town. Yep, it’s an exciting time for him.
Another exciting time is being had by Well Dunne! Talent’s MARK DRISCOLL. Today, Thursday, Marko tells the SCOTT SHANNON story via podcast. Scott is the famous NYC radio guy and the podcast is from Bob’s book “Turn It Up!”. Lucky me – I got a preview and it’s great. It’s all part of American Radio Tales 1946 – 1996 (visit www.americanradiotales.com). Well Dunne! Mark.
Think About This: “When was the last time you embraced a situation that you didn’t like? Did you complain through the entire experience or did you run away from the situation altogether? If you did either, you missed a wonderful opportunity to be something that you’ve never been before. It just might have been that one thing that you had been wishing for.” ~ Les Brown
