Despite the story on MSNBC this AM about the folks who believe the end of the world will be upon us sometime in May (Whatever) , this is a glorious day to begin the “get back to work” energy. Things are looking and feeling better, so let’s kick it into full gear.

Charlotte, NC is where Capital Broadcasting has a duopoly in WJZY/WMYT, the CW and MyTV affils respectively. Capital, the owners of legendary WRAL in Raleigh, are probably the best ownership group around. So when the need for a marketing pro with tons of programming experience specific to their nets came up, there was really only one guy around who fit that bill. CHRIS WOLF is now in the Queen City (Charlotte’s nom de municipality) and learning his way around the town. The old joke is that you’re finally a Charlottean when you can figure out the spider web system of roads, notorious for changing names for no logical reason whatsoever. Until then, your GPS is your best pal. Well Dunne! Chris.

Just what does it mean to be influential now?

Know what history sniffing is? It has NOTHING to do with the History Channel, but with marketing.

Think About This:   "Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. Make all your friends feel there is something in them. Look at the sunny side of everything. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your won. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give everyone a smile. Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others. Be too big for worry and too noble for anger."  ~ Christian D. Larson

  • I’ve just become a reader of your blog TODAY, Kate. Thank you for posting. Today certainly has been GREAT for getting back into the energy of work and fulfillment. I must say I’ve been chomping at the bit myself to get back at it.

Your quote under “Think About This” really hits a note of inspiration with me too. I am all about having this kind of attitude in life and about life.

I wish you the best and look forward to continued reading of your blog!
