JIM WINDSOR is stocking up on sunglasses and sunscreen. Not just for the PROMAX Station Summit in Las Vegas that’s coming up, but for his new job ocean side in Florida. Jim will be heading down to Palm Beach to head up the creative department at WPEC, the Sinclair CBS affiliate in the city of royal palms and millionaires. Jim’s honed his promo chops at such locales as WMAQ in Chicago, WITN in Milwaukee and KHTV in Houston. Before heading south from his current slot as Promotion Manager at WKEF, the ABC/FOX station in Dayton,Ohio, he’ll represent WPEC in Las Vegas, so all you peeps at The Station Summit keep an eye peeled so you can tell him ‘Well Dunne! Jim’.
Over at E!, which uses the always exciting exclamation mark in their name (!) comes word that JEN NEAL is the new EVP of Marketing. She comes from her old slot of CMO at BBDO North America. Wow..that’s impressive. Before that she was at PHD’s New York office working on such accounts as TLC, HBO and BBC America. Well Dunne! Jen.
Is it just me, or does anyone else see the irony of drastically cutting station/network/cable outside adverting budgets in a world where selling outside advertising is what pays the bills….?
