Starting the year in the warm, palm tree studded land of sunshine is TOM HEBEL, who just today (if you’re reading this on Monday) begins as Marketing Director at WFLA , Media General’s NBC affil in Tampa. Tom has been in Chicago since he earned a sheepskin from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, so this marks the first winter he’ll be able to shed his overcoat, scarf, gloves and ice scraper. Doesn’t that sound lovely! He’s left his amazing creative mark at WBBM and WLS in Chicago. A big warm sunny Well Dunne! Tom.
Meanwhile, up Brooklyn way, a new baby boy has decided to make his debut, thanks to the MIKE BRATTON family. Welcome Master Elliott. Dad says you have quite the voice already, which means you just might follow in dad’s voiceover footsteps. Congrats to one and all.
Think About This: "It is hard to let old beliefs go. They are familiar. We are comfortable with them and have spent years building systems and developing habits that depend on them. Like a man who has worn eyeglasses so long that he forgets he has them on, we forget that the world looks to us the way it does because we have become used to seeing it that way through a particular set of lenses. Today, however, we need new lenses. And we need to throw the old ones away." ~ Kenich Ohmae
