Ah, Sweet 16. Not the basketball one. Not the first 16th birthday, the drivers license one either. Anything that happens 16 years apart and is sweet qualifies. It sure does. Right now in Minneapolis/St. Paul, JANEEN VOGELAAR is celebrating a Sweet 16, which in her case marks her homecoming – for the last 16 years, her creative callings have taken her far afield from her Minnesota roots. That’s changed now that she’s the new Director of Marketing for Tegna’s KARE, the NBC affiliate in the Twin Cities. She’s come back from the Left Coast, San Francisco to be precise, where she’s been doing marketing magic for ITVC, which are the folks behind PBS’ Independent Lens program. She spent a lot of time in LA as well, as Creative Director for Tribune Media and BBC Worldwide as well as being Exec Producer for KCBS. What a great background to bring back! Let’s all give Janeen a big Well Dunne!
