With the retirement of long-time CSD MASHA JARRETT, the Hearst folks have named KELLY HOFFMAN to the role. She’s been with them for about 15 years, mainly doing promo writing and producing. Essential Job Functions:
95% – Writes, produces, shoots and Avid edits station promotional announcements.
5% – Implements daily functions of Creative Services Department as directed by Creative Services Director.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well developed presentation skills.
Ability to utilize non-linear editing software.
Ability to work independently and/or in cooperation with a team or group.
Ability to develop ideas and follow through with their completion.
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with station clients, the public, and other station departments.
Ability to organize and prioritize work activities and tasks handling multiple assignments, while meeting “tight” deadlines in an
environment subject to constant change and interruptions.
Computer skills utilizing Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience .
Minimum three years experience in a sales promotional/marketing position and environment with successful results in creating and developing promotional campaigns. Prior Broadcast TV or marketing experience preferred.
