The Inspiration Networks had tapped former NBC marketing vet JIM GOSS to be the Senior Vice President, Creative Services, On-Air Promotions and Short Form Programming at the cable net located just south of Charlotte, NC. While at NBC, Goss had a hand in so many award-winning and audience garnering projects, it would take up far too much space to list. And he’s been one to spot new technology crossovers as well. He has a degree from Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield (now called Missouri State U) and a masters degree from Florida State in Directing. Jim is already on the job and gets a big Well Dunne!

A marketing pro has been tapped to lead the Hearst ABC station in Hawaii. Congrats to ANDREW JACKSON on being named the next President and General Manager of KITV in the islands. Andrew is no stranger to KITV, having worked there before doing marketing and promotion. He’s also been doing that creative thing at KGMB in Honolulu, KTVU in San Francisco/Oakland and WBZL in Miami. He’ll be making the transition to the new slot from one at BBC America. Obviously, he’s a guy who loves the sun and sand…he holds a degree from University of Florida. Pomaika`I and Well Dunne! Andrew.

ALYSSA CORCORAN has added Senior to her VP of Communications, TV nets and digital distribution at NBCU. Rah…a promotion. Alyssa has a background at TechTV in SF as well as Turner in Atlanta. Best of all, she’s an SMU grad. Go ponies and Well Dunne! Alyssa.

Wow…I can’t believe that a trailer for the upcoming sci-fi SKYLINE is using the EAS sound in a TV spot. That sound, specifically tailored to be one-of-a-kind, should not be an option for marketing. Remember the boy who cried wolf?  Shakes head sadly…

Think About This:
"The world does not need tourists who ride by in a bus clucking their tongues. The world as it is needs those who will love it enough to change it, with what they have, where they are." ~ Robert Fulghum
