The Lion King explains it all. It’s a circle of life. Back in the early days of TV, Ben Casey started with a simple chalkboard graphic of man, woman, birth, death, infinity. That’s it. All the rest are details. All the changes, the heartbreak, the love and tears…all the saying goodbye and saying hello, starting fresh and going into pre-programmed mode. It’s all the circle of life. This blog (someone get a new name puhLEASE) is about that, and you need to know that you are thanked, valued and even cherished for any time and or attention spent here.

Now a few quick catch-ups: Well Dunne! to RILEY SEXTON who traded her Manager, Platform and Affiliate Marketing slot for Associate Director of Affiliate Marketing for Fox Broadcasting Company in LA. The SMU grad did some great stuff for KMSP in Minneapolis before heading west.

Condolences to Well Dunne! Talent’s DENA YASNER and her significant other LOREN. Loren’s mother passed this week. Loren is the kind of son we all hope our sons will be.

GM CURTIS MILES at WAOW in Wausau has a new CSD, namely KRISTI SCHREIBER, a native Wausan (is that correct…Wausan?) who is totally slammed with the new job. But Well Dunne! Kristi.

Think About This:  “Be kind and merciful. Let no one ever come to you without leaving better
and happier. Be a loving expression of God’s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting. To children, to the poor, to all who suffer and are lonely, give always a happy smile. Give them not only your care, but your heart.”  ~ Mother Teresa of Calcutta

A long, long time ago, there was a TV series called Ben Casey. Every week, it began with the symbols and the VO intoning ‘Man, Woman, Birth, Death, Infinity’. Today seemed like a Ben Casey Day.

While dealing with a cancer diagnosis, FORREST CARR used his humor to blog about the pain, progress and daily grind of the disease, bringing the reader from laughter to tears with the turn of a phrase. He was a News Director who became an author. He loved sharing his opinions, outlooks, and ideas. Sadly, Forrest left us today, cancer taking yet another talent. Those who read his work or worked with him have all said he will be greatly missed.

SHAD SELBY, who has done TV promo work in Sacramento, has a new little boy so fresh, he still has that adorable little blue hat on. The yet-to-be-named bundle of joy had a rough entry, but after the medicos checked him out in all possible ways, while mom and dad were on pins and needles, the Good To Go words were uttered and, as if on cue from an angel, outside the NICU a rainbow appeared. Well Dunne! Selby fam…all our good thoughts are coming to you.

Down in San Diego, former promo pro RONN KILBY is wrangling the creative video kids for a Boot Camp for video production pros. Check out the details and get yourself going to rake in an early bird discount. Well Dunne! Ronn
