Out in the beautiful Pacific Northwest comes word that CARLOS ESPINOZA, VP of Content and Marketing at KCTS in Seattle has had the word Senior added to his title. Yes, Senior Vice President of Content and Marketing does have a very nice ring.  Carlos creative work impacted Seattle when he was heading up creative for KIRO as well as KOMO. In between it all he was with Aloe Entertainment as head of development. Always such great news to hear of good things and good people. Well Dunne! Carlos.

Not one but two OMG aMAZing TV spots were spied over the weekend. Check out Steel v Aluminum for Chevy and then, another vehicle spot, the Viper spot called The Predators. Both do the amazing…grab your attention and keep it. You glue your eyeballs to the screen. Kudos to all involved.

Yes, it’s St. Pat’s Day, Please imbibe accordingly. And should you think that sending green carnations is corny, then you won’t understand why I miss my dad so much, particularly today.

The smart folks at Seattle’s PBS outlet, KCTS, have wisely named CARLOS ESPINOZA VP Marketing and Communications. He’ll be bringing all his talent and experience to a fabulous operation. Many of you remember him from the time he spent heading up the creative at KOMO and KIRO, the ABC and CBS affiliates respectively. Seattle is an amazing market and he’s a lucky man to be there. He also headed up development for Aloe Entertainment and was CMO at SwordStone Digital Agency. I didn’t ask him if he was one of the Seattle coffee guys…next time. Well Dunne! Carlos.

You all know that KIRO in Seattle has an opening for a CSD. Well, seems the former CSD there, CARLOS ESPINOZA, has switched from TV to film. It’s a very exciting move. About two years ago, the crew was in town to shoot Battle for Seattle, staring CHARLIZE THERON and WOODY HARRELSON.   The producers  needed some footage, called Carlos and that, as they say, is the beginning of a new career opportunity for Carlos. This tale supports several truths: 1 – Networking can change your life. 2 – All the talents and skills involved in doing TV promo are exactly the kind of talents and skills filmmakers need, so more cross hiring should happen, and 3 – If your station phone system sucks, opportunity won’t reach you.  Enjoy working with Mary Aloe’s folks, Carlos. And Well Dunne!

Well Dunne’s MITCH PHILLIPS  got a great write-up just recently. Cool. For those of you who want to enjoy some interesting, entertaining and fun talk…the way only good radio can…tune into Mitch’s morning show. Eastern time 9-10a. Click here and, btw, I might be on Monday. Yep, I just might…

Any thoughts on the Leno/Conan moves? THE WRAP seems particularly honest in its assessment. Just sayin’.
