COSMO LOSCO did fab promo when he worked as Creative Services Manager for FOX in DC and then as Promo Manager in Philly for NBC. Then he went out on his own and founded Innovation Media. Yeah, he’s that good. Now comes word on how good he is. Let’s let him tell the latest: My company won Best in Philly in the 2017 readers choice awards in the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philly.com (announced tonight and special section comes out tomorrow in the paper and online) and I’m opening my first (small) production studio with a special focus on social media production for small business and startups. Well Dunne! Cosmo!
Rain. Rain. Go away. It’s the latest mantra for Well Dunne! Talent’s KELLY PIDGEON, who is dealing with yet another soggy clean up for his studio. What is it with tons of rain and recording studios? But, of course, Kelly never missed a single syllable for any of his clients. Yeah, he’s that wonderful.
Tribune’s ABC in Wilkes-Barre, PA, WNEP, was in the spotlight in HBO’s Last Week Tonight. Love that John Oliver. Seems they have a backyard train, which, if nothing else, received some very interesting feedback from viewers. Will check to see if it resulted in more PR, perhaps some ratings, and for sure it got some laughs.

Is Philadelphia the Rodney Dangerfield of Nielsen markets? I mean, does it get the respect it so honestly deserves? After all, it is the capital of American democracy – home to more history than a history buff would care to list. It’s got cheesesteaks – even a naked bike ride. Yet it seems to be the middle sister of markets…everybody likes it but nobody enthuses about it. I bet that will change once COSMO LOSCO settles into his new job at NBC in the City of Brotherly Love. As of October 6, he’ll be Promotion Manager at WCAU, working with VP MATT LAWS. Cosmo actually started his career at WCAU back in ’05 when he was a Production Assistant. He’ll be leaving behind the good folks at FOX in DC where he was Promotion Manager. Other TV marketing slots that were enhanced by his work include WGAL in Harrisburg PA and NBC’s WRC in DC. On all levels, Well Dunne! Cosmo!

Mac experience a plus. LICENSE/ CERTIFICATE: Driving required. Must have a Valid Drivers License and provide proof of insurability. SKILLS / ABILITIES: Non-linear editing skills necessary. Must be able to produce station image and topical news spots and meet deadlines. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

He’s got the winter wardrobe for it. ERIK CANDIANI is trading Denver for Minneapolis as he takes over as Director of Marketing and Creative Services at Gannett’s NBC affil, KARE in the Twin Cities. He makes the switch from being VP Marketing and Creative Services at Local TV owned Fox affil KDVR in the Mile High city. He’ll be in place up Minneapolis way by May 6. Yes, he’s happy…I turn it over to him to tell you about it. "I was extremely fortunate to have had a supportive General Manager at KDVR who truly believed in — and stood so staunchly behind me. And a Creative Services Management team who were both extremely creative and so very loyal. I sincerely hope they are lucky enough to have the exact same experience I did sometime in their careers." But wait…there’s more. Yep, there’s the job, the new city, a new place to live… but come the end of June, and Erik and his lovely wife will welcome their third child. Talk about everything being happy and glad. Well Dunne! Erik!

There seems to be a flood epidemic. MARK DRISCOLL had not one but two before settling down in a great LA place. NICK SANABRIA is still trying to sort out the deluge that took out his studio (he’s still handling his stations – he’s just so versatile) and now I had to waste all day due to water from some dishwasher situation. Which leads to the next item…

MORGAN FOREMAN is keeping warm this winter up in Lincoln, Nebraska with a new job. She’s the new Promotion Manager at ABC affil KLKN, where before now, she had been the go-to lady for commercial production, with the title Creative Services Director. At no time was she ever part of the Foreman grill, just in cast that popped into your head. A very happy, peppy Morgan loves video production, and if you love what you do, it just comes through. The Iowa native has worked at Des Moine’s ABC affil WOI, too. She has a degree from Buena Vista University, which is in Hawkeye state and not part of Disney World, but ironically, she did at one time work at Disney World in Orlando. FOX DC’s COSMO LOSCO, who is officially the Promotion Manager of WDCA, MyTV in the capital, is one busy guy on…and off…the job. He put together a production company back in October – named it Innovation Media. Now he and producing partner SARAH FRASER are debuting their first series, Hey Frase! Catch it this coming Tuesday at 10 pm via UStream at innovationpictures.com and each consecutive Monday thereafter. The show can be watched on any computer, smartphone or tablet. Back Home Again In Indiana…that’s such a pretty song. It’s also kind of what JERRY GRIDER is doing. Let me turn this over to SCOTT HAINEY, the Director of Promotion and Creative Services at Indianapolis’ WISH TV: Jerry Grider joins our creative services team as our new promotion manager. Jerry comes to us from our LIN station, WANE in Fort Wayne, where he has worked for the past 16 years. During his 12 years as their promotion manager, Jerry has been an integral part of the team that led WANE to its success as the dominant station in the market. His creative work has been honored with numerous PROMAX, Advertising Federation and IBA awards. A native of Indianapolis, Jerry graduated from Pike High School and went on to receive degrees from Berkley College and Marion College here in Indianapolis. A huge Indy car and NASCAR fan, he is excited to be returning home to Indy with his wife and three children. Well Dunne! Jerry and thanks so much Scott!
