Iowa – the heart of America; home state for one of my favorites (WLS’ CURTIS MILES) as well as today’s creative DARRIN FULLERTON, who is returning to Iowa in his new job. Darrin takes up the creative mantel at Sinclair’s CBS affil, KGAN in Cedar Rapids. The Morningside College grad will be making the switch from LIN’s Wichita operation, which is NBC in that part of Kansas. If you’re into calls, they include KSNW, KSNC, KSNK, KSNL, and ESNW. Whew. Just keeping up with that list is a fulltime job. An accomplished graphic designer, he’s worked at KMEG in Sioux City as Promotions Director, worked at a radio station as Continuity Director and began his TV career at KTIV in Sioux City. Love a man who mixes radio and TV. In Cedar Rapids, he’ll be closer to family, which is the #1 reason so many of us pack up and grab a new opportunity. All the best and Well Dunne! Darrin.
CYNTHIA TURNER, the famous Cynopsis founder and all-round great creative, has a new calling. She’s entered the non-profit world, and that means it will never be the same. Cynthia is the new Chairman of Norwalk-CT based Halles Hope, Inc. Click on the name and read all about it. Halle’s Hope is dedicated to building hope and possibilities for children and was created in memory of her granddaughter. What? You say you want to contribute? YES YOU DO! It’s all about helping, and Cynthia will no doubt make the world so much better. Well Dunne!

For all you who struggle to find the perfect candidate for your open slots, there’s hope. Here the tale of one such match from Fox59 (WXIN) in Indianapolis, where CSD MICHAEL BROUDER found JEFF FIELD. Let’s let Michael speak for himself: “I am very happy to let you know that Jeff has joined the FOX59/Indiana’s 4 team in the newly created position of On-Air Promotion Coordinator. He comes to us from Tribune’s regional creative services department in Chicago where he worked in a similar capacity, but now with the added benefit of being close to his alma mater, Indiana University! Since arriving at the beginning of the month, he hasn’t missed a beat promoting two of the top CW and Fox affiliates in the country!” A big Well Dunne! to Jeff.
Well Dunne! Talent’s BERT THOMAS MORRIS is recording a music project for a friend’s band. Very cool. Of course, he’s also doing his voice work as well.
Cynopsis Kids Imagination Award is June 7 so make sure you register. CYNTHIA TURNER always does a fabulous job of throwing an event, and the keynote speaker is RICHARD WIESE, who hosts Born to Explore with Richard Wiese. Yeah, his manager must have helped him name the show.

Job Alert – VP of Marketing for the NFL Network in Culver City.
Anybody else find it…uh…interesting that of the top 10 highest paid American CEO’s, no less than six (!) were media toppers? Specifically, Jeff Bewks of Time Warner @$26.1mil, Robert Iger of Disney @$28mil, Brian Roberts of Comcast @31mil, Zaslav of Discovery @ $42.6mil, Les Moonves of CBS @$56.9mil and Phillipe Dauman of Viacom coming out on top @$84.5mil. But remember, it’s not all just a paycheck on Friday. It’s a combination of perks, bonuses, preferred interest rates and stock stuff. Ohhhhkay.
