JOHN ALLEN is the new Creative Services Writer/Producer at WAPT, the Hearst ABC affiliate in Jackson, MS.  He’s thrilled to be working with the very talented and funny CSD, CORY MCRAE.  John comes back to television after being in the agency world. He was previously the CSD at WLOX, ABC in Biloxi, MS and is familiar with all the facets of high-end production: from being a one-man-band to overseeing multiple-day shoots utilizing everything from dollies to jibs to stedicams. John is into tinkering with programs and electronics too, and it’s been said that if aliens delivered a machine that could bring peace to the world, he’d take it apart to see how it works. In addition, John wields his skills in 2D and 3D animation like a mad ninja.  In his spare time, John’s busy being a husband and father to the three most amazing little girls on the planet. Thanks to Cory for the info. Let’s all cheer Well Dunne! for John.

Got interns? Then you might want to keep an eye on what’s happening on the intern-legal front.

Think About This: "There is a plan for each of us, and each of us is precious. As we open our hearts more and more, we’re moved in the directions in which we’re supposed to go. Our gifts well up inside of us and extend of their own accord. We accomplish effortlessly. How could Leonardo da Vinci not have painted? How could Shakespeare not have written? In Letters to a Young Poet, Rilke tells a young writer to write only if he has to. We are to do what there is a deep psychological and emotional imperative for us to do. That’s our point of power, the source of our brilliance. Our power is not rationally or willfully called forth. It’s a divine dispensation, an act of grace."  ~ from A Return To Love by Marianne Williamson
