Always such a treat to write about the artists out there. Graphics are key to any ad – duh. And in today’s world, good TV art people are hard to find.  Its particularly problematic when TV loses a super-talented one to another line of work. Well, she’s still doing art but not for TV and entertainment/news. That’s what happened to a Denver-based creative, DEB CATALANO. The UCLA grad and Savannah College of Art and Design grad (impressive) was Art Director at Fox affil KDVR after doing such things as 3D animation for Fox Family Channel in LA and Imaginary Forces, Novocom and Pittard Sullivan. Yes, all top notch drop-dead great places. Deb has taken on the title of Chief Technology Officer for Ignite Creative, a super agency in the Mile High City. No doubt she’s a very happy camper. Big Well Dunne! to Deb.

Condolenses to Well Dunne! Talent’s KEVIN GASSMAN whose aunt passed away from cancer in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Ya gotta give points to anybody who sticks to their beliefs, no matter how difficult things get at times. One of Well Dunne! Talent’s own has been supporting marijuana legalization for quite some time, and has taken a lot of flack for it. Now, however, KEVIN GASSMAN seems to have found the ideal job that combines his pot stance and his radio talents. He’s got his own show on KHIGH 1580, the AM station in Colorado Springs that, as NBC describes it, celebrates the stoner’s lifestyle. KHIGH changed their format last week from all-sports to all pot.  Gas, as he likes to be called, is one of their hosts, Monday through Friday 10a to Noon. Listen live and while you’re at it, Well Dunne! Gass.

Pretty cool spots for the upcoming Mayweather v Pacquiso fight with kudos going to 2C Media out of Miami as well as HBO Sports and Showtime Sports.  And MILO, a motion capture robot. Another TV creative is doing the right thing (thanks Spike Lee)… Family is the first priority for many, and for WAHEED ALQUWASMI, it’s everything. He’s going to take care of a family member, and so he’s resigned from his slot as CSD at Memphis’ FOX affil WHBQ. If you’re reading this on Feb 27, that’s his last day. He’ll be available for freelance in a bit, and I want you all to know how talented he is and put him on the top of your radar. Well Dunne! Waheed.

Those in the Phoenix area (not chasing llamas) should know that Saturday is America Loves Bacon Festival in Chandler. Valley of the Sun’s own KEVIN GASSMAN (and Well Dunne! Talent) was kind enough to point this out, and he might be going. You can spot him – he is a dead ringer for the actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Well Dunne!

MORGAN FOREMAN is keeping warm this winter up in Lincoln, Nebraska with a new job. She’s the new Promotion Manager at ABC affil KLKN, where before now, she had been the go-to lady for commercial production, with the title Creative Services Director. At no time was she ever part of the Foreman grill, just in cast that popped into your head. A very happy, peppy Morgan loves video production, and if you love what you do, it just comes through.  The Iowa native has worked at Des Moine’s ABC affil WOI, too. She has a degree from Buena Vista University, which is in Hawkeye state and not part of Disney World, but ironically, she did at one time work at Disney World in Orlando. It’s a small world after all. Well Dunne! Morgan.

FOX DC’s COSMO LOSCO, who is officially the Promotion Manager of WDCA, MyTV in the capital, is one busy guy on…and off…the job. He put together a production company back in October – named it Innovation Media. Now he and producing partner SARAH FRASER are debuting their first series, Hey Frase! Catch it this coming Tuesday at 10 pm via UStream at innovationpictures.com and each consecutive Monday thereafter. The show can be watched on any computer, smartphone or tablet. Most impressed Cosmo. Well Dunne!

Bi-cultural, bi-lingual and a Yale man to boot. That’s the 411 on WHIT HASKEL, just named VP of Marketing and Business Development for Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Soccer Plus and the associated websites. What a great slot for a guy who’s been VP of Marketing and Comm for the LA Galaxy (the pro soccer team for those who won’t google it). Whit has worked for the Barcelona Dragons (NFL Football in Spain), Feld Entertainment, Liberman Broadcasting where he had the title Dir of Marketing and Promotion, and VP Strategic and Hispanic Marketing for The Ballpark Ad Agency. He’s also founder of Umbral Yoga and The Trias Group. Wow. Well Dunne! Whit.

Martha Stewart doesn’t do anything in a small way. And it’s always with a flourish that makes it tres Martha. That’s also the way to describe the mega marketing plan that will accompany Martha’s show debuting on Hallmark Channel on Sept 13. It’s all under the direction of SUSANNE MCAVOY, Senior Vice President of Marketing, who has planned everything from signs in Macy’s to on-air and online to even working with local female running clubs. No doubt there will be thank you notes involved at some point. The entire campaign gets a Well Dunne!

Makin plans for Friday night in LA? Gonna be in Hollywood on The Strip? Then stop by Red Rocks and check out Well Dunne!’s KEVIN GASSMAN.

There’s very little ice, ice baby in Palm Beach, FL, but that’s where Vanilla Ice is going to host his new DIY Show in which he remodels, renovates, and generally makes pretty a 7,000 sq ft place. Yes, you’ll be able to see the step-by-steps – it is the DIY Channel after all. Can’t wait to hear how to make the pool prettier!~

Excellent article that outlines what NOT TO DO when you’re in charge. And people, PLEASE feel free to direct this to those who need to read it.

This, btw, marks the 750th post on the Well Dunne! blog. Thanks for reading it and sharing your life events with us all.

What a Monday. Let’s embrace the here and now and run with it. Of course, it’s sunny where I am and that helps…sorry about that storm Ida over on the Gulf…

Up Chicago way, NBC’s WMAQ’s JAY WADHWA has a new title. He’s now Director, Local Brand Marketing. His old title was Manager of Creative Services. Sounds good. Well Dunne! Jay.

Well Dunne! Talent’s KEVIN GASSMAN kicks off a new gig this Friday. Scottsdale-based Gass (he insists on calling himself that) will host a radio show – MyStudio Radio. It’s on KWSS FM and also online, so everybody can give it a listen. Starts at 2pm Arizona time and you can hear it via mystudio.net  Well Dunne! Kevin.

Speaking of Well Dunne! Talent (how smooth was that? Ha) MARK DRISCOLL did the coolest movie promo for the latest in the popular vampire tales. Take a listen and get those goosebumps.
