In lieu of taking Sunday off and not writing, the mere fact that the date comes along just every 4 years prompted this missive. Post Oscars. It’s Leap Day. February 29. So much fun…looks odd in its own way. Maybe things for all of us will be in alignment…didn’t they seem rather out of sorts? Happy February 29th to one and all.

There are some very tired folks in the creative services departments of Capital’s WRAL and Media General’s WNCN in Raleigh. While you were watching some very clever Oscar tie-in commercials from Kohl’s and McDonalds, they swapped nets – WRAL now NBC and NCN now CBS. If you have never been involved in a network affiliate change, well, it’s the marathon of marketing. Let’s hear a big Well Dunne! for all the people who made it happen, with a particular Well Dunne! going to CSD KRISTEN BYRUM at NCN and CSD SHELLY SMITH LESLIE at RAL. Ladies, great jobs.

CLYDE BECKER loves Denver and is staying put with his new job in Multi-Media for the Media News Group. Well Dunne! Clyde.

Job Alert – Director Press & Comunications TV Land Santa Monica CA job 2015-2660

Let’s play ‘who is the new CSD”….Her first job as Marketing Manager is in one of America’s most lovely cities. She’s a Barton College grad – a southern lady who calls Raleigh her hometown. She’s worked at WACH, WHNS, WRAZ, and most recently as Sr. Producer at  Myrtle Beach’s WBTW writing and producing and editing and being totally creative. And now, she’s leading the marketing charge at Media General’s WCBD, NBC in Rhett Butler’s hometown. Let’s hear it for KRISTEN BYRUM the newly named Marketing Director in Charleston. She made the move right before Christmas and Santa had a very exciting new chimney for her little boy. It’s all good. And it’s all Well Dunne! Kristen.

Yes, there are changes to the Well Dunne! Blog, at least the one you see posted online at the Talent site. The one and only BRANDON was able to fix the “OMG we’ve been hacked AGAIN” problem and the result is the sleeker version. We’re approaching 1200 postings – all about new jobs and great people. If you have news to share, you are so welcome to let us know. Onward to the future.

Cynopsis Kids Imagination Awards…never too early to enter. Details here.
