Pittsburgh is the home of so many very creative people. For instance, several Well Dunne! Talent’s are Pittsburghers and, with the exception of some nasty winter weather, they love it. JAY SILVERS even likes the cold. Come early December, Pittsburgh will welcome yet another creative when JENNY DOLPH checks into her new position at Hearst’s WTAE where she’ll be the News Brand Producer. Jenny is an Indiana native who has a sheepskin from Perdue. She’s built up some producer chops in her home state, at stations like WLFI, WSJV and WNDU doing on-air promos. She handled six different Gray TV stations as Web Editor and has been at her current post as Promo Producer at WBND for several years. CSD TERRY KOWALSKI is going to miss her for sure. A big Well Dunne! to you Jenny.

Got some wires crossed about Indianapolis. Reported that adorable KATIE WARTHAN had been tapped as Promo Manager at WXIN…but that was not on the mark. CSD BOB ST CHARLES hired her as Lead Producer for CBS4. My heartfelt apologies to one and all. That Promo Manager slot at Fox is still open. Check it out via this link and consider it a Job Alert!

Uber talented LARRY WATZMAN is so much closer to his family, he’s already getting ready for those Sunday dinners where you catch up and overeat.  What got Larry into the family way, so to speak, is his new gig at Buffalo’s NBC affil, WGRZ. He’s now their Marketing Manager and he’s loving it. Larry has been doing that creative thing in Philly for Comcast, WFAA and KXAS in DFW as well as heading up ReVNew. But he’s putting family first and that makes for a happy man. Well Dunne! my friend.

Larry, you have to meet LISA SCOTT, one of Well Dunne! Talent’s super voices. She lives in Buffalo but you hear her everywhere.

Condolences to Well Dunne! Talent’s NICK SANABRIA who lost his beloved dog Annie to cancer. She was always at his feet in his studio, and that leaves a hole in the heart.

Open Creative Services Director slots as of today: WICS/Springfield IL, KPHO/Phoenix, WGNO/New Orleans, WGMB/Baton Rouge, WSWB/Monterrey, WESH/Orlando. More open slots tomorrow.

If any of you can…if any of you want…find a way to help the people who have had their lives touched so cruelly by the tornadoes.

Tennessee and North Carolina have some really steep rivalries when it comes to sports. The capital of NC is rife with colleges, among them Duke, NCState and UNC-Chapel Hill. But Tennessee native APRIL TOLLIVER isn’t going to let that concern her one little bit. She’s just begun at the NCB affil in Raleigh, WNCN where she’s doing that creative promo thing.  Ms. April has a background in television, film, and production and has worked in public TV and post houses.  A graduate from Middle Tennessee State University, April can draw a storyboard with real images, not stick figures. Currently, she’s handling Topicals and a lot of image and sales projects. CSD STEVE PATRICK is thrilled to have her. Well Dunne! April.

March 8 was officially International Women’s Day, which made it the ideal time to introduce two of Well Dunne! Talent’s newest pros. For those who missed it, say hello and give a listen to LISA SCOTT and SHELLEY DUFFY. Both have been in front of and behind the camera, both have been newsies and really understand the nuances and needs of a station…and both have incredible range. Lisa can do “young” and her vocal stylings are a hit with kiddies…Shelley leans more towards a deeper register with authority. Something for everybody! Well Dunne! you two.
