Heading to NAB next week? If yes, then you need to make sure and stop by to say hi to BONNIE BARCLAY, who sent along this info: real world augmented reality graphics, FX Design Group and HybridTV have them at this year’s NAB.  Without breaking the bank, your graphics department or your hub can easily execute data driven investigations, election coverage, weather trends or special assignment pieces.  If you are not hitting Vegas this year, send your Chief to see what virtual can do for you or email Bonnie at barclay@FXgroup.tv

Former promo pro (KMTV/Omaha and WAFF/Huntsville Director of Marketing) TODD LONG has a new gig incorporating all the best of promo with, you know, like an agency. He’s the Audience Solutions man at Alabama Media Group. Yep, staying in Space City. Well Dunne! Todd.

Well Dunne! Talent’s MARIAN MASSARO is at it – and NYC is loving it. She’ll be live announcing the New York Emmy Awards, set for May 2. All you New Yorkers are in for a treat and if you were at the gala last year, you know how super she is. Well Dunne! and hope to see ya soon Marian!

Did this week just whiz by or what?! Kudos to the community bank that caught the crooks trying to drain a certain bank account that is close to my wallet and heart. Talk about being on top of things – smaller banks are the best. I don’t believe one would get that kind of service with the Too Big To Fail guys.

So is Clyde’s new job as Creative Services Director of Scripps’ ABC affiliate in the Mile High City, KMGH.  He’ll be returning to Denver where he once headed up the creative efforts of FOX affil KDVR. Along the way Clyde was at Reelz Channel in Albuquerque and WVEC in Norfolk/Hampton Roads. Looks like he’ll be taking I-70 West from Indianapolis where he has been CSD at the Dispatch NBC affil WTHR for the last few years. Excellent news Clyde. Well Dunne!

There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.”  ~ Hugh Laurie, actor and author (Thanks Dani Dudek)

Lexington KY is absolutely gorgeous, even if you aren’t a horse person. Of course, it’s absolute heaven for anybody who loves to see horse races and is home to Keeneland, the most beautiful race track imaginable. Did you know Lexington is the only place that Queen Elizabeth takes personal vacations? Deep in Bluegrass country comes word of a new Marketing Manager at the ABC affil there, WTVQ. Welcome aboard TYLER HISEL who has been on the job just a few short weeks. Well Dunne! Tyler.

Oh, reading that MARIAN MASSARO is announcing the NY Emmys? Well, that part is, indeed, true. But the part I messed up was when it all happens. It’s on SUNDAY April 14, which I thought was a  But if you want to go Saturday and stay, the Marriott would no doubt appreciate it.

After taking time to get his Masters from Kent State, entertainment  marketing veteran TERRY KOWALSKI is getting back in the creative pool. Mr. T’s resume, which as we just learned, now has a Masters in Advertising credit, is going to begin listing his new stint as CSD in South Bend, where he’ll be overseeing ABC affil WBND, the CW25 and 3 digital channels. Mr K will make the transition from Toledo, where he was CSD for ABC’s WTVG. He spent time doing creative for WTEN in Albany and has a fascinating “omg, he can work all those machines!” list of successes at WTVO in Rockford and WDIV in Detroit. He’s a proud Michigan State grad who will be close to the state line in his new gig.  With his birthday on the horizon, he can’t think of a better gift, except he is welcoming any gift cards for those so inclined.  Hugs and a big Well Dunne! Terry!

WILL BENSON has a new slot, and he didn’t even have to pack up and move. He’s staying in Louisville and loving it. Will is the newest member of the WAVE 3 creative team, headed up by Marketing Manager ADAM FRARY. Mr. B came over from the Fox affil in Derby Town, WDRB. Working for a Raycom station isn’t a new experience for Will – he spent a few years at their WFIE outlet in Evansville, IN. The Vincennes U grad is also a decorated Army veteran who spent some time in the Middle East, where he served as an Infantryman and has some intense experience repelling from helicopters and leading a machine gun team. Let’s hear a rousing Well Dunne! for Will.

Well Dunne’s MARIAN MASSARO (so new I have to get her on the site) finally has her power back on. Living just north of NYC, he lost the power thanks to that horrible Sandy and it was 11 days without. Oy! If you have electricity, be thankful.
