It’s good to see ADRIANNE ANDERSON keeping a nice slot in the LA media world. She’s been named VP of Marketing at KABC coming ‘across the street’ from KTLA where her title was similar –  VP of Marketing and Creative Services. Adrianne is an alum of FIT (look it up) and Hofstra and has worked for KYW and WCAU in Philly before heading west to helm creative at Fox TV stations and Warner Bros TV. Well Dunne!

The multi-talented MELANIE HAYNES (who is very Well Dunne!) is a woman who can do just about anything. For instance, dealing blackjack. Yes, she can. And to prove it, tune in to tonight’s episode of Young Sheldon and watch her yourself. No really. Tune in. She’s on it. Yeah, very cool. Well Dunne! Melanie.

Yesterday was a big day for Well Dunne’s lovely SHELLEY HOULIHAN, who tied the knot with long time love in Pittsburgh. Awww, it’s so heartwarming to see two such happy people. Mazel Tov and Congrats!

So KFC has a new approach to Mother’s Day. Ladies, check out chickendales.com and see if this Mother’s Day gift is one you enjoy. (hahahaha…you’ll either enjoy this or you won’t.  How you feel about it as a marketing tool is another thing altogether.)

Think About This: “For what it’s worth: it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit; stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There is no rules of this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it.”  ~  F. Scott Fitzgerald

TGIF on the first day of June. And today’s spotlight is on Well Dunne! Talent’s MELANIE HAYNES, who is an actress on camera and a voice talent behind it. Come June 16, her film Antiquities will be part of the Dances With Films at TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood. She has the part of eccentric Aunt Patty in the film which also stars Andrew West of The Walking Dead, Ashley Green of Twilight fame and Mary Steenburgen who was just in Book Club.  The Kansas-born lady talent lives a very exciting life away from her mic, splitting her time between LA and Houston. You really need to give Mel a listen and remember her when you look for a female voice. Well Dunne! Melanie.

Well Dunne! to KCNC’s creative honcho ED CUSHING who invented the most marvelous word: Nontroversy. Noun. A manufactured controversy where none actually exists. “Did you see the nontroversey about the Starbucks cups? People will complain about anything!”

Some of us change jobs and move across town. Some move across time zones. Some move coast to coast. And SOME of us take the word ‘Adventure’ and go whole hog, choosing to take a very different path indeed. CRISTINA ROMENTO, who has lately been doing a fab job producing promos for Scripps’ “The List” in Phoenix, is packing up and moving to Thuwal Saudi Arabia, which is right on the Red Sea across from where Egypt ends and Sudan begins. Go on…Google it. She won’t be doing TV per se, but she will be using all her marketing talents to the betterment of the world, introducing inventions and startups on behalf of KAUST Official, which is King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. Cristina has longed to work overseas since she was little and this opportunity came along at just the right time. There’s going to be so much to share along this venture…can’t wait to hear all the details. On behalf of the TV peeps on this side of The Pond, a very international Well Dunne! Cristina.

MIKE WARD was a very multi-faceted TV pro. NBC was the recipient of his efforts beginning in 1985 when he went to work in the WMAQ newsroom in Chicago as EP of the 5 and was eventually upped to News Director there. They moved him up and over to Philly where he took on the role of VP Creative Services and Programming before another promotion to GM and President of WNCN in Raleigh. The lure of news in DC took him to WUSA where he was ND but in 2008, he suffered a stroke. He never really bounced back from it, and Mike passed away last Wednesday. He was only 63. He sure did pack a lot of life in those years, including being a photog and working in Cleveland and Sioux Falls in his home state of South Dakota. So very sad to see anyone creative leave…

Well Dunne! Talent’s MELANIE HAYNES has her home studio featured in Houston House and Home. She’s in LA at the moment…good things percolating. For those audio folks – you’ll love the article.

Is there a prettier city in the spring than Atlanta? OK, Paris, but I’m talking domestic. Yes, Atlanta and their peachtrees in full bloom win the eyes and hearts of anyone who loves gorgeous. The timing of Atlanta in the spring is going to work out perfectly for DAVID TALLARICO. David is the new Promotion Manager at CBS’ WGCL, or as they brand themselves CBS46 and Peachtree TV (see, Peachtree is big business there). After not just one but two periods at WJAC, the Johnstown PA Sinclair NBC (once as producer and then again as CSD), David will bid adieu to Pennsylvania. He’s a PA boy with a degree from University of Pittsburgh and time as a producer at WPXI in The ‘Burgh. . Best of luck with your new job, David, and you’ll love working with your boss JEFF HOLUB. Well Dunne!

Job Alert – WXYZ Detroit has two (yes 2) open Producer slots. Come work in a dynamic news market for a fabulous company (Scripps) and one of my favorite CSD’s around (DAVE BAUMANN). This is not a paid ad…I mean it when I say it’s a great opportunity.

Well Dunne! Talent’s MELANIE HAYNES isn’t just fab behind the mic (and she is – click her name and give her a listen) but you’ll have the opportunity to see how she shines in front of the cameras as well. She’s just finished shooting an episode of SALEM, a new series for WGN.  Details on when it airs will be made yours in advance so you can set your iCal reminder. Well Dunne! Melanie!

CARRIE KING knows Chicago. I don’t mean just how to navigate amongst the cities, towns and streets nor do I mean which restaurants have the best of whatever it is your pallet desires. No, I mean Carrie KNOWS Chicago and as much as she know Chicago, she knows how to market even more. Whew…sounds hyperbolic, but it’s just a fact. Carrie is heading up a new entity which will draw on her days as creative at WGN and FOX up in The Windy City. New entity is tagged Creative Forces. In her own words, “Creative Forces is a group of international award-winning visual storytellers who specialize in creating break-through brand strategies that deliver high-profile and extremely profitable market positions.” How cool is that! So, all you corporate, network and cable kids…you need to mentally bookmark Carrie’s endeavor and, ahem….use her! Well Dunne! Carrie.

Job Alert – SVP On-Air Promotion Nickelodeon NYC job 6814
