Perhaps it’s time to consider a lottery ticket purchase, PATRICK STAPLETON. Yes, you’re on a roll and things are coming your way. First off, Patrick is a new dad, having welcomed Patrick, Jr just weeks ago. Adorable to the max…I bet he’ll have his father’s smile, which is one that lights up a room. He and the Mrs., who is a Senior Producer at MSNBC, are over the moon. But wait, there’s more. In a few weeks, Papa Patrick begins a new job…one that he says is a dream come true. He’ll be moving down from NYC where he’s been a promo producer for ABC’s WABC to DC where he’ll be Promotion Manager for NBC’s WRC.  Impressive and exciting. The Chicago native is a Georgia Bulldog who honed his promo and managerial chops at WIS in Columbia, SC. He’ll be a super dad, a great Manager…and he is a sweetie top to bottom. Let’s all smile and say ‘Well Dunne! Patrick.’ And remember your friends when that lottery ticket pays off.

Looking for just the right person to fill a specific creative slot takes patience, persistence and even a bit of luck. When it all comes together, the wait seems like nothing. Such is the case when ABC affil WMAR CSD ALEXANDER SHAW was on the hunt for an addition to his department. He wanted a Senior Producer/Editor and he found a perfect fit in ZACH THIELEN, who started on December 10. As Alex shared with the WMAR staff: Previously Zach worked for several years at Agora Financial in Baltimore where he produced high-concept videos, infographics and other forms of multimedia, and has also taught a screenwriting course at Howard Community College.  He comes to us with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from Syracuse University, and a degree in Screenwriting from the School of Visual Arts.  What great news from Scripps’ Balto. Well Dunne! Zach.

Our own HARRY LEGG not only rocks it behind the mic…he’s suited up (literally) and shown he has what it takes to sparkle in front of the camera as well, all thanks to the great folks at WABC, namely KRISTIE GONZALES and PATRICK STAPLETON. Ho Ho Ho and Well Dunne!  https://vimeo.com/wabccreative/review/114929576/cdc25b9dd2

Heading north to The Big Apple is PATRICK STAPLETON. Yes, indeed, Patrick is heading into market #1 to be part of JIM GORHAM’s creative team at WABC. Patrick will be writing and producing for ABC and leaving behind the Promotion Manager slot at WIS in Columbia, South Carolina. The Chicago native, who graduated from University of Georgia, will hit NYC just about the time spring is supposed to (although this winter might linger….ouch) and will be ready when his fiancé joins him. She’s Assistant News Director at WIS. Come June, the two will walk down the aisle back in South Carolina. What a great year 2014 is proving to be for Patrick. No wonder he’s got such a big smile! Well Dunne!

Yes, it really is international Polar Bear Day. Why not take part in the Thermostat Challenge issued by Polar Bears International to save sea ice habitat. Just turn your thermostat down two degrees. Come on…you can do two degrees for the a polar bear ~ of course you can!

Seriously, what if I told you there was a scientifically proven way to reduce those urges one gets to smoke, eat and drink? What if I told you to play Tetris? No really, play Tetris.

Aileen is a grad of Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela. Muy bueno and Well Dunne! Aileen.

Interesting new Promotion Manager duty happening at NBC affil WIS in Columbia, SC. PATRICK STAPLETON is hosting Midlands Marketplace, a weekly segment that allows advertisers to do a chat and tell about their products. Patrick is their Promotion Manager. I wonder if he needs representation….

What is the title character’s name on the new Michael J. Fox Show? No. it isn’t Michael J. Fox. Its Mike Henry  – same as FOX DC’s creative leader. Just sayin’.

Going to catch Showtime’s debut Masters of Sex this Sunday night? It’s about the Masters and Johnson sex clinic. I actually did a video project for them…not THAT kind. It was most enlightening.
