The Palm Springs market just got more artsy; SCOTT NOVASIC is the new Art Director of KESQ, the ABC affil et al in the lovely desert town so beloved by Bob Hope, Sinatra and golfers of all sizes. Scott found a place that has the most gorgeous pool in which to float when he’s not doing his animation and design work. KENT KAY looked high and low for someone, and the wait paid off – sounds like it’s a perfect match. A Milwaukee and Wisconsin native, Scott has a diploma from UW-M and has worked at Fox Chicago and CBS in LA. His own company, SuperNova, isn’t shuttered and he loves to show off the work he did for networks and the John Tesh TV show (exact name escapes me). Let’s hear a big Well Dunne! for Scott.

Think About This: “Please…don’t worry so much. ‘Cause in the end, none of us have very long on this earth. Life is fleeting. And if you’re ever distressed, cast your eyes to the summer sky when the stars are strung across the velvety night – and when a shooting star streaks through the blackness turning night into day. Make a wish and think of me. Make your life spectacular. I know I did.” ~ Robin Williams

Think About This: "Spirituality is the awareness that we are connected to Life with a capital "L." This state of being is not dependent on the particular activity we are performing. So instead of denying your spiritual side until you have time to explore it, try doing what you’re doing with the attitude that you already are a spiritual being, and see how your daily life is influenced as a result." ~ Tami Coyne and Karen Weissman
Awhile back, wrote up creative guy BRYAN JOHNSON when he went from KGUN in Tucson to his first CSD slot at KOHD in Bend, Or. Well, now there’s more great news from Bryan – he’s been promoted. His new office is at KEZI, ABC in Eugene, just over the mountains and a gorgeous drive. Yes, he’ll be shuffling back and forth for a bit because he’s not really given up the responsibilities at KOHD. As a matter of fact, he’s handling all the creative marketing efforts for group owner Chambers. That means he even goes south to visit their stations in Klamath Falls and Medford. Sounds like it’s the most gorgeous scenery around, too. Yes, the family is thrilled since they’re still close to all the relatives in Portland, where Bryan once worked at KOIN. Well Dunne! and enjoy those vistas!
Thank heavens for some good news about local broadcasters from The Wall Street Journal. Yeah, your GM and GSM will appreciate seeing this one.
