As the first candle was lit on menorahs across the world last evening, it marks the perfect time for all of us to take a moment to think about miracles. They come in all sizes and forms, sometimes coming around as expected and sometimes quite the opposite. But they do happen. You have to keep your heart open and expect them. So no matter what challenges are clouding your life, the lighted candle should remind you that all will be well.

Former promo pro TODD BALLANTYNE, who left the TV biz after heading up creative at KYW in Philly as well as Comcast’s CN8 and Promo Manager at NBC’s WCAU in the City of Brotherly Love, experienced a miracle this weekend. He debuted a new creation in the aforementioned Philadelphia – Papa Todd has a baby daughter! Do we need to say the Ballantyne family couldn’t be happier? Well Dunne!

On the opposite side of the country, out Sacramento way, FOX 50 (calls KTXL) On-Air Promo Manager NATE DARLING is off the market and engaged.  The holidays always bring a rash of engagements.

JIM WINDSOR needs your healing thoughts….going to have some surgery and it’s always good to have as many folks in your corner pulling for you as you can. Jim’s currently doing promo at FOX in Chicago, WFLD, and has been spinning marketing magic in Milwaukee, Palm Beach and Akron. I’ll keep you posted on his progress…you keep him in your thoughts. And don’t hesitate to Facebook him!

Traveling for the holiday (or just traveling)? These are seven VERY informative and great ideas on how to make the travel hassle better. No really, these are super ideas.

Trading one side of Florida for another. Another way to trade the sunset for the sunrise – Gulf for the Atlantic. So many possibilities… Who has started this parade of potentials? None other than ADAM DEPAUL,who is the new Creative Services Producer and Editor for Hearst’s WPBF in Palm Beach. Kudos to HEATH MYRICK for the heads up. ADAM has been at sister station WMOR in Tampa where his creative (over 15 years worth) did wonders for the independent in Tampa Bay. Enjoy and Well Dunne! Adam.

For those who remember TODD BALLANTYNE from his TV marketing days at KYW, WCAU and WWOR (Phily and NYC) you’ll be glad to know he’s found true love and has recently tied the knot with a very smart lady who is doing veterinary emergency work. All best wishes!

Trading Kansas City bar-b-q for Philly cheese steaks is SARA VISOMIRSKI, who’ll be taking the Creative Services Director slot at CBS’s KYW in the City of Brotherly Love come November. The Miami native is bidding adieu to a similar post at Meredith’s Kansas City duop, KCTV-KSMO, CBS and MyTV respectively. The Miami native will be taking along the whole Visomirski family. Ms. Sara has worked in Palm Beach, Pittsburgh, Dallas and Miami. She’s a honey. Well Dunne! Sara V.

Speaking of Philly…and KYW…TODD BALLANTYNE is back enjoying the British Isles. His first venture at being the leisurely tourist was interrupted when his mom had a medical emergency and he flew back. He’s having a blast,

You know what Twitter is good for? CBS found out it’s good for upping ratings.

Making money from obituaries…not just for newspapers anymore.
