They’re beefing up the WUSA creative team in the nation’s capital…and the ace in today’s sights is DYLAN WILBUR, newly tapped but on the job Art Director. He’s transitioning from CBS in Minnesota where he was AD under CSD CASEY KESPOHL and Promo Director SCOTT WOOLRIDGE (two heavy talents). The move to DC will reunite Dylan with SKYE BEITLER, newly named Creative Director; the two previously worked together at KTVU in Oakland. Dylan has also worked in Milwaukee for both Hearst and Weigel as well as in Vegas for Journal (now Scripps). Sounds like it’s a gathering of some exciting work in progress….Well Dunne! Dylan!
The gene pool…it’s an amazing fabrication. The way talents and interests and physical features can be passed down…wow. One such example is in Kansas City, where marketing pro DAMON BRYANT has a son who is wildly musical. Give him a listen..buy the music. Love putting the spotlight on new emerging talent – especially ‘in the TV family’ kind. Well Dunne! proud dad and BLAIR BRYANT.

Think About This: “There will be very painful moments in your life that will change your entire world in a matter of minutes. These moments will change you. Let them make you stronger, smarter, and kinder. But don’t you go and become someone that you’re not. Cry. Scream if you have to. Then straighten out that crown and keep moving.” ~ Erin van Vuren
SKYE BEITLER doesn’t just have the chilliest name – he’s got a ton of talent to boot. A ton. Had eyes on him since his days writing and producing in Baltimore. Well, Skye has got a new gig and it’s very exciting. He’s going to WUSA to be the Creative Services Director working with ERIN MCCAHILL who’s Marketing Director at the Tegna CBS. It won’t be until the end of the month (when do the cherry blossoms bloom? Anybody? Buehler?) so he can finish out his CSD slot in Florida and bid adieu to the palm trees just about the time folks head north from the Sunshine State. Skye has worked his way up from running camera at WEYI in Flint to commercial writing and producing at WSMH in Flint. Then he officially entered the world of creative services in Lansing at WILX. He got scooped up by Baltimore’s WMAR and then headed west to KTVU in Oakland. Got his own corner office as Director of Marketing at WTSP and now he’ll be in the capital. Very good news for a very good guy. Well Dunne! Skye. (inadvertent rhyme…)

You need to check out the wonderful spot done in Sacramento. It’s the holiday greeting from CBS13/CW31, which is KOVR. A friend of mine’s father signed that station on and operated it…then the one and only JOHN TISCHENDORF headed up their marketing. Lots of feels for them. And lots of feels is what you’ll get when you click to watch their yule effort. All done in-house. I’ll have a list of the folks who put it together tomorrow…enjoy yourself now.
