G’day Mate. Yes, an Ozzie greeting to kick off an Ozzie getting a fab new slot. The man from Down Under is none other than TIM RC. ANDERSON who took the Creative Director slot for CBS Corp out in LA, which is closer to home than his New York-based former job as Creative Director of NBCUniversal Media. Tim got his creative career launched scheduling on-air promos for Foxtel in Sydney before trying his hand at writing and producing said promos for them. He then went to Seven Network before coming to the states to work in LA for the Entertainment Marketing folks at NBCU. Warner Bros was his next stop where he was Exec CD for Worldwide TV Marketing. The lure of New York called him east and he freelanced and threw his hand into NBCU’s efforts once again. Krikey! That’s great. Big Well Dunne! Tim RC.

Think About This: “A human being is part of the whole, called by us ‘Universe,’ a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole [of] nature in its beauty.” ~ Albert Einstein
Don’t you just love Philadelphia. Besides the cream cheese, Philly is home to outstanding food, historical one-of-a-kinds, gorgeous neighborhoods, quaint and expansive shopping, an active arts life, and great people. From the Main Line to the sketchy neighborhood where Anthony Bourdain found a to-die-for Thai soup place, Philly rocks. When you call it home, you never really wander, even if you don’t live there for years. Some of us are lucky enough to be able to find a job that allows creative expression AND is in Philly. That brings us to HENRY VAZQUEZ, who is a Philly man and is returning to the City of Brotherly Love at the end of the month. Sadly, his talents and leadership skills will be lost to the world of TV but he’ll be joining a former TV marketing pro in his new slot. Henry’s going home to be Creative Services Director for the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA, working with former NBC CSD LAUREN BACIGALUPI. It’s been five years since Henry got to do day-to-day there, and his wife is going to be much happier now that they’re no longer splitting their zip codes. Henry has a stellar TV marketing background as VP Director of Brand and Digital Development at Hartford’s WTIC, CSD at Vegas’ KLAS, and Promo Manager at WCAU. The man has interned at Paramount through the WGA and written all kinds of marketing for the folks in Philly TV. He even has an MBA…he reads all the time. Yep, he does. Obviously a favorite, let’s all shout Well Dunne! Henry.

Promotions are not just what some people call what you do. There’s other promotions, like earning a promotion at work. It’s a major vote of confidence. It’s new things to learn and do….a new title…more money (seriously, you need more money with a new title)…and a whole new way to express your best skills. To quote Martha Stewart – a very good thing. Hearing of someone getting a promotion deserves all the hoopla, excitement and celebration we can muster. Everybody, muster great energy for LAURA GREMELSBACKER, who was upped from Director of Community Projects and PR at NBC’s WVIT in Hartford to Brand Manager. Yep, she’s steering the creative ship. Ms. Laura is a Connecticut girl who attended the Central Connecticut State U and was Promotion Manager at WVIT. She served as VP of Communications for Special Olympics in the Nutmeg State and Communication Manager at Travelers. She’s got a mega-watt smile and a new job…the world is her oyster. Well Dunne! Laura.
