What’s a handsome and talented guy who has a degree from beautiful App State U in Boone, NC doing in Cleveland? He’s celebrating his new slot at WKYC, NBC there. It’s a promotion, which is always such a pleasure to point out. Offically he’s Director of Marketing and Brand  – formerly Director, Digital Media Marketing / Manager, On-Air Promotion.  His new duties will find him calling the creative shots and wrangling the marketing talent.  He’ll be uber-wonderful. All smiles to MAC MAHAFFEE…a North Carolina guy who has always loved his job. His GM is a former Promo pro…MICKI BYRNES, who obviously has an eye for talent and leadership since those adjectives describe her to a “T” as well. Mac began his upward climb doing it all as Director of Sports Video at App before heading to Time Warner Cable as CSD in Charlotte. He scooted up 85 to the Greenaboro / Winston Salem market at a promo wrter producer for WFMY and then bought winter clothes and headed to Cleveland. Yes, a series of progressively more responsibility and creativity was his at WKYC. Before you thnk he’s all work and no play….stop. He’s a super dad and has a real love of kayacknig and photography. If you’re not excited for him and shouting Well Dunne, well…..
