It’s an hour’s drive between Greenville and New Bern in North Carolina. Just get on 17 and then keep left onto 43 and you’re there. It’s the commute that ASHLEY MANGUM takes every day to his slot at Greenville’s WNCT, the Nexstar owned CBS and CW operation. Ashley’s a New Bern native, and the town’s beautiful waterfront downtown is no doubt one of the reasons he loves it. He’s an Eastern Carolina University guy (bonus points if you knew Sandra Bullock went there) who has worked in the biz in New Bern as well as did a stint as the Digital Production Coordinator for As The World Turns. When he’s not doing TV marketing, you’ll find him on his gravel bike (learned about those in talking with him). His favorite ride is through the gorgeous Croatan Forest just south of town. He’s hoping the forest fire still burning there is put out soonest. Good thing he’s by the two rivers that meet in New Bern since he’s also an avid kayaker.  A great big Well Dunne! Helpful hint and semi-snotty observation:  Anybody use fax machines anymore? Don’t say for contracts and legal papers because that is just not accurate. So many stations don’t list their phone numbers but still list fax numbers. Just wondering why that is…
