Buffalo, New York is ground zero for perfect eclipse viewing. You know, that astrological event where the moon travels between the earth and the sun and we earthlings get a show that even Taylor Swift can’t match. WIVB/WLNO’s Creative Services Director SHERRY BURNS began planning for this way back last September. Let me let her tell you: “We have been promoting WIVB/WNLO Eclipse coverage since December 2023. I ordered 2,000 custom designed eclipse glasses from a local vendor in November and we have been distributing them to guests, local groups, viewers and friends since December. We also partnered with the Buffalo Science Museum for our Eclipse 2024 Special and coverage of eclipse day. We shot promos for the shows with our meteorologists several weeks ago at the science museum. Yes, a half-hour special and all. Wonderful way to highlight Chief Meteorologist TODD SANTOS and the 4 Warn Weather Team (that includes you MIKE CEJKA). Great job all you WIVB/WLNOers. Shout out to Promotion Producer JAMES CARRIERO. Take a look and then join me in saying Well Dunne! Sherry and station!

Do this now: Google eclipse 2024 and watch what happens. Neil DeGrasse Tyson, thank you.

Job Alert – Working in a state capital is always a rush. Lots going on. Never long, dull stretches of no news. Tallahassee is the capital of Florida and you can work there with one of my favorite CSD’s, JACOB WALLACE, who is looking for a really super promo producer at WTXL/ABC. Hit him up.
