When a really great job opportunity comes along, one has to take it. The state of local TV seems to be getting more and more difficult with not real positive happenings, especially for the creatives who market. Ironically, not paying attention to marketing is the antithesis of the local TV business plan. But let’s not digress. Let’s talk about WHEC’s KEVIN KALVITAS, who is going to take a sweet job with a high-speed fiber optic concern which Is expanding their operations. He’ll be Director of Marketing – same title as he has at WHEC. The Syracuse grad has wrangled the Hubbard-owned WHEC efforts not only once but twice! WHEC is the NCB affil in Rochester, NY. Makes me sad to see (yet another) talent going out the door. Kevin is a super guy, and we all need to wish him the best of luck on the new position. Well Dunne! Kevin.
