So many of you have felt the loss of STAN MELTON…and now the National Capital Chesapeake Bay region’s (aka Capital Emmys) has announced that Stan will receive this year’s Ted Yates Award. Posthumously. The award is named after an NBC cameraman, Ted Yates, who covered international stories and was killed in the line of work. This award goes to individuals who demonstrate outstanding professional and personal qualities in their contribution to television news and public affairs in the area. There is nobody as deserving as Stan and our wish is that he would know how much he is admired and missed. Well Dunne! National Capital Chesapeake Bay region Emmy people!
